Effects View

Pegboard includes six stereo effects.

Distortion

The distortion module is a powerful effect for adding harmonic complexity and texture to your sound, giving it grit and character.

  • Clip: Overdrive the signal to the point of clipping.
  • Fold: Introduces wavefolding to the signal. Can generate intricate harmonics and overtones.
  • Crush: Reduces the bit depth of the audio signal, resulting in a digital and lo-fi character.
  • Mix: A dry/wet control mixing the original signal with this effect.

Chorus

The chorus module introduces a classic modulation effect that enriches your sound with a sense of depth and movement.

  • Rate: The speed at which the modulated signals fluctuate, influencing the perceived width of the chorus effect.
  • Depth: The level of modulation applied to the audio signal, determining the intensity of the chorus effect.
  • Delay: The time between the original signal and the modulated signals. This creates a sense of spaciousness and stereo separation.
  • Feedback: The amount of signal fed back through the effect. Adds to the richness and complexity of the chorus sound.
  • Mix: A dry/wet control mixing the original signal with this effect.

Phaser

The phaser module is a spectral modulation effect. It can deliver a unique sonic twist to your sound.

  • Frequency: The speed at which the phasing effect cycles through its spectral shifts, determining the rhythmic character of the modulation.
  • Depth: The intensity of the spectral shifts, influencing the degree of phasing applied to the audio signal.
  • Center: The central point around which the spectral shifts occur, changing the focal point of the phaser effect.
  • Feedback: The amount of the modulated signal that is fed back into the effect, enhancing the resonance and complexity of the sound.
  • Mix: A dry/wet control mixing the original signal with this effect.

Flanger

The flanger module introduces a captivating modulation effect that imparts a distinct sense of motion and timbral variation to your sound.

  • Frequency: The rate at which the flanging effect sweeps through its modulated range, determining the speed of the swirling motion.
  • Delay: The time offset between the original signal and the modulated signal, contributing to the distinctive comb-filtering and phasing character of the flanger.
  • Depth: The intensity of the modulation, adjusts the range of frequency shifts and the pronounced nature of the flanger effect.
  • Feedback: The amount of the modulated signal that is fed back into the effect, adding resonance and enhancing the swirling quality of the flanger sound.
  • Mix: A dry/wet control mixing the original signal with this effect.

Delay

The delay module is a simple time-based effect that can infuse your sound with depth or can be used to create an echo.

  • Time/Rate: The delay time or synchronization rate, controlling the spacing between the original signal and its delayed repetitions.
  • Feedback: The amount of the delayed signal that is fed back into the effect, creating a series of echoes.
  • Sync: Synchronize the delay rate to the internal clock. The internal clock tempo can be adjusted in the settings.
  • Mix: A dry/wet control mixing the original signal with this effect.

Reverb

The reverb module is a spatial effect that adds depth to your sound. Reverb emulates the reflections of sound within a space.

  • Size: The perceived spaciousness and decay time of the reverberation.
  • Damping: The absorption of high frequencies and affecting the overall warmth of the sound.
  • Stereo: The stereo width of the effect, controlling the sense of spatial spread and immersion.
  • Mix: A dry/wet control mixing the original signal with this effect.
